Lifestyle Therapies was established as a physiotherapy practice by Dianne Hermans in Manly West in 1994.

Moving With Industry was established in 2000 to service the industry specific needs of the many companies moving into the Gateway/Port of Brisbane area. The company now employs over 15 staff providing a comprehensive range of health services.

Lifestyle Therapies provides industry specific services through two company divisions:

Customer/Project involvement

Manual handling training projects to assist companies to reduce manual handling risk. The scope is variable from small scale manual training programs to fully integrated systems of policy and procedure development, competency based training and compliance systems for multinational companies.


Pre-employment design and ongoing assessments implemented in many companies. These include task analysis, design, material development and implementation. Our protocols work within legal requirements to assist companies to develop their systems in compliance with antidiscrimination and privacy legislation.


Work optimisation programs assist organisations to obtain a very detailed understanding of the health and safety issues faced by staff and the actions required to optimise their work outcomes. The programs are tailored to the company’s specific needs. Program parameters can include review of incident, injury and absenteeism data, surveys, ergonomic assessments, risk analysis and nutritional and musculoskeletal health profiling.


Corporate health programs have been successfully conducted with many companies which involve initial health assessment followed by interventions such as education, individual consultation and workshops. Reassessment at the conclusion of the program provides a measured result.


Pause exercise posters have been professionally developed for a number of industries such as office workers, truck drivers and for manual handling.
